Do not allow your neighbours or intruders connect to your wireless network. We strongly suggest that you replace the default passwords on every device you purchase with passwords of your own. Default means that every router, access point or additional networking device comes with the same password. Imagine how many “”dlink”" networks there would be in the world if none of our customers renamed their routers? Hackers make it a point to know every company’s default passwords. By merely specifying a new password, one that will surely be easier for you to remember than the default, you will build the protection you need to stop hackers from accessing your network or devices.
While you answer the questions posed by our easy set-up wizards, rename your router and devices something unique and easy for you to recollect. But be certain not to be so creative or simplistic that you allow sensitive data with the name you give your device. “”Jones Family Router”" is not the best idea.
